Meet Andrea

Andrea Nuñez Guido, a UCLA undergraduate with dual majors in Global Studies and Labor Studies and a minor in Spanish, draws from a rich cultural tapestry, being born in California but deeply rooted in her familial origins from Chicago, Illinois, the Central Coast of California, Michoacan, Mexico, and Mexico City. Her aspiration to become an immigration lawyer in the U.S. is driven by a profound commitment to reform immigration laws and advocate for equitable educational opportunities on a global scale. Andrea’s passion for social justice and inclusivity led her to the Global Education Connection team, where she actively contributes to fostering empathy and ensuring greater opportunities for children in need. Her favorite memory, a transformative study abroad experience in Japan, not only broadened her perspectives but also ignited a fervent desire to facilitate such life-altering opportunities for others. Through her academic pursuits and work with the Global Education Connection team, Andrea embodies the spirit of global citizenship, striving to make a meaningful impact in the realms of education and immigration reform.
